School Marine project

Project Description

This project celebrated Caithness biodiversity species in the Dunnet area through an art wall created by school children with the aid of a professional artist.  The wall include iconic species such as Scottish primrose, small blue, watervole.  The direct and physical involvement of the children helped to engage those that are perhaps more inclined to the arts than the natural sciences at this formative stage in their lives. This pilot project involved  one primary school and the art work was displayed at Seadrift (Dunnet Visitor Centre) which has been refurbished.

Jan 08: Report received.  Art wall created with Crossroads Primary School.  Project complete.

Start date: 2007
